Accurate order details
with AI customer support automation
Shoppers want the real fields on their order: line items, shipping address, fulfillment stage, tracking, and payment state. IrisAgent reads your OMS, Shopify, carrier, and payment systems, then validates every answer before the customer sees it.

Accurate order details automation means IrisAgent answers a question about one specific order by reading live OMS, Shopify, carrier, and payment systems, then stating the SKU, quantity, address, fulfillment stage, tracking, and payment state those systems return. It validates the reply before send. If a field is missing, it asks or escalates instead of inventing it.

Why wrong order answers break ecommerce support
Agents toggle Shopify Admin, the OMS, and the helpdesk to answer one order question. A wrong ETA or a wrong SKU turns a simple status check into a refund, a reship, or a chargeback. The customer did not ask for a policy page. They asked what is on this order.
Order-detail volume stays high because every shopper wants their own line items, address, and fulfillment stage. A static FAQ bot does not look any of that up. It sends a generic tracking-portal link, and the ticket still lands in the queue.
Carrier tracking and where-is-my-order replies are covered in automate order tracking. Line items, shipping address, fulfillment stage, and payment state are answered here, each one read live and checked before send.
How IrisAgent resolves order-detail tickets end to end
Connect as an overlay on your helpdesk
IrisAgent installs in Zendesk, Intercom, or the helpdesk you already run, and it reads Shopify or your OMS plus carrier, 3PL, and payment data when those connections are authorized. You keep your current tools. There is no rip-and-replace.
Identify the order and authenticate the customer
The AI matches the message to the order ID and the customer record. Before it states an address, a payment state, or line-item detail, it follows the identity checks your policy already requires of a human agent.
Read live systems and draft the answer
IrisAgent queries the connected systems for line items, variants, quantities, shipping address and method, fulfillment stage, carrier tracking and ETA when present, and payment or refund state. The draft uses only fields those systems return, on email, chat, and messaging where your live product already supports them.
Validate with the Hallucination Removal Engine
Before the customer sees the reply, the Hallucination Removal Engine checks the draft against the source records. Validated accuracy stays above 95%. If a date, SKU, or status is missing, IrisAgent asks a clarifying question or escalates.
Send the routine answer, escalate the exception
Status, tracking that is already present, line-item confirmation, and a delivery window the carrier provided go out to the customer. Fraud, chargebacks, high-value address changes outside policy, damaged goods, and safety issues route to a person with the thread attached.
Which order details AI should read live (not invent)
Accurate order details are the fields on one order, pulled at the moment the shopper asks. IrisAgent reads them from live systems. It does not fill gaps from a language model.
- Order ID or number, matched to the customer
- Line items, variants, and quantities
- Shipping address and method
- Fulfillment stage and warehouse or 3PL status
- Carrier tracking and ETA when the carrier has them
- Payment or refund state when that connection is live
If a field is missing, ask or escalate. Do not invent a SKU, an address, or a delivery date. Where-is-my-order tracking stays on the WISMO use case. Shopify order reads are covered on the Shopifypage, and the broader ecommerce queue is on ecommerce support AI.
The outcome
Ecommerce teams on IrisAgent resolve 60%+ of tickets end to end, with validated accuracy above 95%, and many go live in about 24 hours. See ecommerce AIor get a demo. Teams keeping Zendesk can book a Zendesk demo.
What to automate vs escalate
Automate the replies a live system can support: order status, tracking that is already present, line-item confirmation, and a delivery window the carrier returned. Escalate fraud, chargebacks, high-value address changes outside policy, damaged goods, and safety issues.
A shopper emails: "Did you ship the blue mug or the set, and is it still going to my office?" IrisAgent matches the order, reads Shopify line items and the fulfillment record, and confirms the SKU, quantity, ship-to address, and carrier status those systems return. The Hallucination Removal Engine checks the draft against those reads before send. If the carrier has no ETA, the reply says so.
IrisAgent works inside the helpdesk you already use. You keep Zendesk, Intercom, or your current tools, and it reads Shopifyor OMS data in the ticket. For the wider ecommerce queue, see ecommerce support AI.
